Any brake will increase your sound signature. It redirects the blast (and sound) sideways, up, or somewhat backwards in order to reduce muzzle climb & recoil. With that said, I like brakes and use them for matches and have tried a few. The MSTN QC "Quiet Control" is an effective brake, and has the least amount of blast signature that I've found.
