Kotor 1 got the ball rolling even though I'd consider it the more traditional SW story of the 2, while Kotor 2 takes this idea and creates the character of Kreia who quite literally sees the conflict between both sides as never ending and pointless. The analysis also revealed something I missed about Kreia entirely.

But some small pieces of it have been made canon by canon material. The details of the story are still not canon, but clearly the Old Republic was an era that existed and there was a Sith named Revan roaming around. It's still unclear how much in common the canon versions of this stuff has with the Legends versions. Carth's appearance and message to let Revan know he's doing his job is considered canon. From each according to their ability, to each according to their need. Only because the canonical Revan is light side. Just in case you're getting any funny ideas about him surviving in the dark side version of KOTOR's ending.KOTOR 1. It makes more sense in light of Kotor 2's world and atmosphere. A Republic on the brink of collapse, Jedi nearly extinct, the Sith running loose, etc. all fit perfectly with the DS ending of Kotor 1. Disney should make Kotor 1 and Swtor canon. Both games are widely loved and devoid of serious contention with the rest of the Star Wars universe. It doesn't matter as much as people are making out in here, and reflexively flinching as if Revan will be "ruined" as if the character wasn't already assassinated by Swtor.Something interesting about K1 is how there's a bit more content with a female Revan, despite Revan being male in the old canon. I feel like integrating it into new canon is way easier than people are making it sound, to the point that I feel like it would be a waste not too.

The reason being that there really wasn't one but you could tell there was a sexual tension between the characters but the reasoning behind it with the writing is whats truly exceptional.
