John deere instrument panel not working.
Brady, TX. Tractor. John Deere 3038E. The tach on my 3038E has stopped working reliably. More than half the time when I start the tractor, the tachometer will indicate 0 RPMs. After some time (as little as a minute to as long as an hour) it will start working. And once it starts working, it will continue to work until I shut the engine down.

I recently had to swap out the instrument cluster on my JD 3038E. After doing so the tractor now starts unlike before, but no i have several lights on and gauges not working as they should. The low oil pressure light, front PTO indicator (which i do not have), low voltage light, service alert light (with no code that I have found).

On the temp gauge find the sensor wire 359 under the hood, unplug it with the key just in the run position (no need to start tractor) ground it to the engine and see what the gauge does.
