Eleonora's pole blade scales a bit better with arcane but still not enough to be worth 50 point stat dump. Only put points into arcane if you want to use incantations and use dragon seal to scale the incantations off arcane + get some extra bleed procs. or if you plan on using other weapons and converting their status to blood or occult.

Comparing a lot of weapons to bloodhounds fang has the same effect. Fang is simply a solid weapon the whole game through, with good poise damage, a unique and very good art of war, and does all physical so it's always at least somewhat effective.
