There are certainly different types of guilds. There are those that takes a team of people to build, and run, and maintain. Personally, I'm not talking about that type of guild. I haven't ever, nor will ever, be in charge of that type of guild. The guilds I make are ones I make for myself and a few RL friends.

There is also a permanent guild log and it will be written there that you have quit the guild. If you want to leave then none of that should matter.
