I posted a Horizon Walker-based build in my Dark Hunters thread. Converting it to Arcane Archer would mostly be an Enhancement swap, something like: 42 Deepwood Stalker (all tier-5 + capstone) 13 Dark Hunter (+3 Imbue dice) 14 racial to unlock AA tree 12 Arcane Archer (+4 Imbue Dice)

Greatsword just works for Horizon Walker. If you want to optimize for highest sustained single target damage, you're going to multiclass out of horizon walker at level 5. Whether you multiclass out or not, ranged is going to be better damage. Get sharpshooter and crossbow expert feats, and get yourself a hand crossbow.
It's likely this build could be improved significantly. I delayed entry into Horizon Walker to get the build a Swift Action studied target (Slayer 7), which I actually think is pretty crucial for action economy, especially since your higher level goal is to be doing full attack actions. Higher levels I'd tailor based on the needs of the campaign.You can probably make a great Sword and Board Ranger for your Melee build if you want to. Heavy Crossbow would require Corssbow Expert to take the most of, so you should try a Longbow instead.
