I'm curious if anyone has gamed both of these clubs? I have slice issues and have heard the the Ping G30 SF (straight flight) is great for straightening out slices. I see plenty of Used G30s in my price range but the SFs are always more expensive. I wondering if the SF is such an improvement that it's worth the additional price?

The 30sf definately felt better in my hand than did the 30, & had the shop had a 30sf when I bought the 36 I probably would have gone with the SF in favor of the larger ammo capacity.if it is *primarily* for CCW, the G30S might be better as it's slightly slimmer. If you want to shoot it alot... the G30SF would probably be better. I've not shot a G30S …The G30S uses a unique slide stop/slide release which is also used in the G41 for their thinner slides. If you want to use a G30 or G29 upper on that frame you'll need to change the slide stop to Glock part# 5423.

The 30s is just the G36 slide on a G30SF frame. It is wider than the G19. The frame is wider and the trigger guard is wider, it will not fit in the same holster. The frame for the G30 and the G21 is the same size except for length, the 13 round magazines will fit both.

The 30S and 19 are Glock's finest offerings - imho. The 19 is the logical choice as, 1) Shares mags with the 17. 2) Smallest hi-cap Pinky Friendly 9mm Glock offers. 3) Shares the same caliber making buying/stocking ammo easier. 4) It's a tiny bit thinner in the grip than the 30 making it a tad easier to carry.
