If you got 1/2 inch of threads showing and no plain unthread shank, you should be good togo. If 3/8's showing threads or less, its too short for the stack-up. I have used the Mejlik 5 inch carbon spinners for years without any problems on 150cc-200cc engines. They have a metal backplate and screws around the perimeter.
