My problem with the e609 Silver is not the brightness per-se. It was more that I was unable to get any warmth/body at all without major EQing. It is really scooped and sounds nothing like my amp. The 906 was just basically plug and play for me. I am talking mostly for live use, not much recording.

Even without hyping the 5kHz presence the e906 is a little more articulate in the mid-high range than the e609 - but the two are still pretty similar overall.
