Reverse gear won't engage, please advise!! My 99 Altima has developed a peculiar problem which has made it tough to rely on. When I shift the automatic tranny into reverse, the car acts as if it was placed into neutral. If we rev the engine a lot, there is a bit of grab and the car will start rolling back. All the forward gears work just fine.
