Adjusting floats on a holley carburetor.

I recently purchased a holley 600 0-80457-s and this model does not have any adjustment nuts and scews on the float bowls. Every holley needed some type of adjustment even a 570 street avenger has adjustments . I had a bit of an idle problem when it is cold but after it warms up its alright. Smells rich at the pipes when it starts.The one on the right is a newer design and works the same. I am rebuilding a Holley 4000 Carb from a 1956 Ford Thunderbird. I have two issues.
