Jul 5, 2021 · Most of my retirement funds are in Vanguard ETF's. About 17% of total retirement assets are in VXUS. It has outperformed VTI YTD and the past year, but underperformed significantly over 3, 5 and 10 year periods. Interested in thoughts on whether I should rebalance VXUS holdings to VTI, or other ETF's such as VGT or VONG.

VTI is a pizza with mushrooms but overall it is only a small % mushroom. schd is a basket of mushrooms. it is 100% mushroom. holding VTI plus SCHD will give you a pizza, with extra mushroom exposure. this is good if you happen to like the idea of mushrooms giving you some extra dividends while you own the whole pizza.
