If that is true it is a shame I thought the Marlin bolt actions were solid entry level rifles. I personally prefer them over Remington's entry level bolt actions.

The 795 is easily more accurate out of the box than a 10/22, cost less, and is a heck of a lot of fun to shoot. There are quite a few RFCers who have taken 795s to AS events and done great.

It is very easy to damage the crown of muzzle with cleaning rod if one is not VERY careful. 2.)
