I can speak about Layton Lakes only, where I try to put my tents (six of them) spread out evenly between outposts. One or two of them are directly below lookout towers, one near Kraken Bridge, one on top of a hill, one at a hunting spot, one down south near the southern edge of the map. #3. I got my diamond whitetail the other day near the first lookout you unlock, look towards the track and they had a feeding spot, I also got an albino in the same spot. try the lakes on the east side of the map lots of elk and blacktail there. also make sure you’re hunting during the drink time which is 5-9:30 for both of them.
