I just had the same problem on my Twin Peaks (aka Prairie 700) and it turned out to be the fan switch sensor that is screwed into the side of the radiator. Checked the oil level and it is fine and the coolent level is fine.

The needle seat has a small screen and it was plugged only letting a small amout of fuel into the bowl. Jun 25, 2009 · Unplug it and check the wires for power. One should have power. If neither has power with the ignition on then check the fuses. If one does have power then jump it to the other. If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan. If there is power, the fan is no good.
