John deere 2950 problems.
Jun 11, 2023 · 2950 Won’t Steer. Hi, German-built 2950 has hard, jerky steering and will keep moving either way. I have the steering control out of the dash and I’m not certain how to move forward. The Deere unit is too dear; there are aftermarket units all over the internet, likely Chinese or Turkish, and they don’t come with the bolt-on valve body.

Kind of like air-conditioning it's a draw on the engine. Your tractor is showing 85.3 at PTO (tested) so that tractor was checked. You could have a 94 horse engine. HP on a 2755 with a 3.9L 4 cyl engine isn't the same as a 2950 with a 5.9L 6 cyl engine!!! Please take a look at your uncles 2755 serial number tag.Problem 1: Engine Performance Issues. Noise from the main pump is most likely coming from the main pump drive. Check condition of Cushion #3, Couplings #2 and #4, Cap Screws #5, Splines inside Drive Shaft #6 and Splines on Pump Shaft.Around here the 2940 was the 3rd worst tractor Deere ever built (behind a 2840 or a 8630 ). The 2 spd gave trouble as well as the hyd.'s. The early 5500's had some issues as well. The 2750 is the only one of the 3 I would even consider. New User. May 23, 2011. #1. I have a john deere 3140 (canadian version of 2950?) with sound gaurd cab. After about four hours of pulling a four bottom plow I noticed the hydraulics were a bit slow to react. The three point hitch and the hydraulic cylinder chattered when I tried to pick the plow up.
