I'd use Chime before I ever use Direct for a measly 10% cash back that I already get at SpeedWay with their rewards. Just find a gas station with a rewards program. You'll get points for purchases made in store as well. Which then you can get free shit. I've gotten many $10 gas cards over the years, for just my day to day purchases.

Changing payout method to it is instant. The 7 day thing only applies to Fast Pay to prevent hackers from stealing your direct deposit. There are no real issues with the card itself, anymore so than any other debit card anyways. The app however is garbage. Its frequently down and the card isn't usable till the app comes back up.
