How to turn off honeywell thermostat pro series.

My Honeywell thermostat is set for 80 during the day and when it reaches 80 it will shut off and then turn back on within a few minutes. I have looked at the installers guidelines and have been hesitant to change much but think there must be a setting that would have a 2-3 degree variation from the set temp.
