In general Honda CVTs are pretty solid. Much better than the junk from Nissan and GM. The only car with CVT issues was some of the HRVs which received a warranty extension. CVTs will not tolerate dirty fluid. Make sure you get your fluid changed when the maintenance minder tells you or every 30-60k miles.

There was a service Bulletin and a class Action suit on the previous CVT models, Civic, ZE1 where they repair the start clutch and extend the warranty. I've not heard of any Problems with the ZE2.
