The reMarkable has much less functionality, but everything about it from hardware to OS to UI is made towards a single purpose, a great (but limited) digital paper experience. The Boox can do anything I want it too, but ends feeling more like a crappy android tablet experience than an overly capable e-ink device. I’m torn because based on the reviews it seems like the Boox is better in general for reading/managing academic PDFs, but the Supernote is better in general for ease of use, organization, and the general writing experience.
