There's a couple of things to check, based on what you've mentioned: First, make sure that the Video Doorbell is showing the blinking white light, indicating that it's ready to scan. If it's showing a constant white, or a yellow, it's not yet ready.The Video Doorbell does have a small battery, which is required for operation. But the USB port on the back does not charge that battery - it's intended for servicing only. If your Video Doorbell Pro is failing to stay powered, there might be an issue with the doorbell circuit. Or there might be a hardware issue, which a replacement can resolve.
