I have a 2005 heritage Softail fuel-injected 88 CI. I just changed the oil and used 20/50 royal purple. The owner's manual says oil capacity is 3.5 quarts so that is what I put in. When I check the oi, it's past the full mark on the dipstick. My primary oil level increases as my oil level decreases over time. I first noticed this when I drained 3x as much primary oil out of there than should have been (about 3 quarts or more of used/black fluid). Currently, I just monitor my oil level and change both again each time it seems to have "exchanged" a quart or more.
