I definitely hate the idea that Ranni had the black knives try to kill Iji and Blaidd. It doesn't make much sense and honestly is lame. I think the black knives came looking for Ranni and couldn't find her so they attacked Blaidd (but he killed them attempting to protect her) and they killed Iji, her war counselor.
Turns out, Blaidd is just waiting in Siofra River in his spot there, I think his dialogue when talking to his spirit at Ranni's even leads to that. I double checked the Evergaol location before going to Siofra so you might want to do that too incase he is there.Game Help. it was the black knives that killed him. notice when you approach blaidd at ranni's tower, there's a dead assassin laying in front of him. i think the black knives had found ranni and stumbled upon seluvis first. when the assassin went to get ranni he was met by blaidd and cut down right before he lost his mind.
