Vengeance is pretty easy to keep, just kill the evil guys. For example, there is a certain enemy in Act 1 that u can let go in exchange for power. Doing so breaks ur Oath. As long as ur own values and judgement align with that, ur gonna be good. Breaking ur Oath also might be something that ur fine with, since it has an interesting consequence.

The Oath of Vengeance Minthara can still break it by refraining from the self-stabbing. If you want, you can roleplay Minthara as seeing herself in Madeline's shoes as someone deserving of punishment but shouldn't get it since Minthara herself got rescued from a heinous punishment.
