So im dual wielding crossbows in my game, while playing a sword bard build. When i got to choose a fighting style i automatically took two weapon fighting as it seemed the most logical and i had read online it was good. Recently i read that two weapon fighting only applies to melee attacks in 5e, but read mixed responses on BG3. DEX for using weapons, either dual scimitars/shortswords/daggers, etc. Or a bow. (symbiotic works on ranged attacks in bg3) Dual xbows works too! But I'm going to have weapon choice depend on the magic items that I find. Handaxe/dagger Throwing works with the extra necrotic damage. Torch works too, torch is a club so it works with Shill'. There is a bug at the moment which means that if you dual wield hand crossbows, it applies your Dex ability modifier to the damage of both hand crossbows i.e. including the off-hand crossbow, even without the Two Weapon Fighting style, which it really shouldn't.
