Carl used AFR 220's but also said later that the heads were too small. My goal is 600-ish hp, street driven. Cam is gonna be around 263/269 @ .050, 11:1 on 93.

On all the SHP block I do a little clearancing on the pan rails, I also step up to a stud kit on the mains. On all the 421'a I have built going to the .904 lifters is a big plus and those lifters are more reliable over an .842 lifter. Previously they had been ported to a runner volume of 227 and a .700 flow of 310.5. I removed alot of material tonight, exposing much more area at the pushrod restriction, and ended up with a port volume of 338.5 cc's.
