If your Mercury dealer is fine with it, then make sure that it's properly defined on the invoice so that if you have problems in the future you can come back to the work he did. I can't see anything in the Mercury manual that calls for fogging the 60 hp fuel injected motor. I know that some will put a bit of oil in the spark plug holes.

At the higher rpm I either don't feel/notice it or the engine runs fine (maxes out @ 5,900 rpm (34 mph)) Also this 4-stroke idles like my 2 stroke 25 hp (rough) and therefore vibrates and sounds rough at 800 rpm.
