Master lost sector not dropping exotics.
Yesterday I farmed 2 exotic engrams to my postmaster. I popped them today after reset, they decrypted as Leg Armor. I got the Star-Eaters Scales from the first, and a well-rolled set of FR0ST-EE5 from the second. So it's possible that if it drops in the Lost Sector it gives you Helmets, but if you pop it from the postmaster it gives you boots.
I got into a squabble with another individual who was adamant that the source you linked is proof of drops rate is better in master but here If OP did 15 master lost sector and got 0 exotics then that article is irrelevant. Lost sectors should usually give the specific (new) armour pieces first, based on what type is on offer that day (leg, chest head etc) and after they drop random exotic armour based on what you don't have already.But a random, world drop engram will not have a chance to drop any of the new gear from WC on day one. You would have to unlock it from the lost sector first. Which means there is no point in saving them to get WC gear. If you got the engram from a lost sector, that is different. Those are coded to drop whatever the master sector is dropping ...I was grinding the legendary lost sector trying to get Mask of Bakris but when a legendary helmet finally dropped it was a Graviton Forfeit (I already own every exotic helmet other than Bakris).
