I have seen info from other sources such as Youtube but I have had very good luck here so any information anyone can give me on the 882 would be greatly appreciated.

If yours is a pre '77 (or pre '83 for that matter) Model 25, it should be a Glenfield 25. Marlin discontinued the Glenfield line in '83 but continued to produce most models as Marlins. If yours is a Marlin 25N, it is newer. The older 25s will require some modification to fit the aftermarket stocks.
