How to remove pto shaft cover.
The manual says remove the bolt (which is easy) then push the shaft toward the gear box and remove the snap ring. That's the part where I am a little confused. There is almost no visual on the snap ring or barely, and second of all there is no room to access it. I am sure I am missing something here.
Drain the transmission oil ,all of it, put a bolt through the hole in the pto shaft and use a pry bar to pull the shaft and seal out strip the seal housing replace the seal, AND the "o" ring whack it back together and fill with oil should be good for another twenty years.
