HDC does work. first you have to put esp off. then drive down on first gear without pressing the gass peddle. you have to be below 20mph. it only kicks in if one of the tires slips. it freeks you out the first time. the abs activates. if it does not fell a tire is out of control it will not kick in.

Hill descent fault, traction control fault and advancetrac fault all lights go off and truck would go into limp mode. I'd shut off the truck and everything disappeared at start-up. Took it to Ford and they scanned it and found nothing. Of course, you'll need to have some brake fluid at the ready to bleed the system, too... as well as brake cleaner. I took it back to the dealership to have it reprogrammed... and they couldn't do it! They needed to plug in the old unit that I pulled out of the vehicle to install the correct software.
