Warmoth birdseye maple neck and an MJT Tele body in Ice Blue Metallic. I threw in some Fender '51 Nocaster pickups and wired up my own controls. I drew inspiration from the Chrissie Hynde Tele, but wanted a maple... It is well-balanced without too much upper-mid honk or “thin” 3-4khz spikes. The mids are not aggressive. Some may find it bland, but others may call it versatile. It bumped out a lot of speakers in my case, and is a favorite in several different circuits ranging from Ampegs to Fenders, tubes to class D amps.The SD has lower gain than an AC booster (feels like it) but cleans up better. If you're interested in a DD-ish pedal with a mids knob, check out the GCX. It has the gain changer/LTD flavor, but with a mids knob like I said. Has all the gain you will probably need since the DD/GC has a lot of gain.
