203 posts · Joined 2014. #3 · Jan 12, 2016. You shouldn't be clamping the receiver to remove muzzle devices. This can stretch the entire receiver body. It's only aluminum. You need to clamp the barrel as close to the device as possible or use a barrel extention bar that locks the lugs. Share.

At some point I do want to pick up a 300 blackout MCX upper. Instead of the ASR mount I'm using Dead Air's Keymo mounting system and very happy with it. It works on Saker or Omega suppressors. Dead Air Keymo has muzzle breaks and three-prong flash hiders. I didn't want a muzzle break especially on an 11.5-inch barrel or a three-prong flash hider.
