When a dryer has not been used for a period of time, the rollers can flatten where they sit against the drum. When it starts up, it sometimes makes a thumping noise. It sounds like the drum is off alignment and grinding or something (screw/coin) fell inside and is scraping the drum. Youtube might help with disassembly. look for front bushing kit.
