Then buy the bigger version. It dosent make you any better if you buy the larger stuff. And 3.5 million for the first upgrade does not take long at all. The second upgrade at 8.5 mil does take a bit longer. I upgraded from standard to prepare for escape mostly because of the beta container having that extra room. EOD is ridiculously expensive but it is a huge advantage. The extra stash and butt pouch size is "worth" the money plus the extra reputation is overpowerd and shouldnt even be a thing. I wouldnt even play the game anymore if i was stuck on standard edition. Unless everyone else had it too of course.

I'd say there isn't really much of a difference besides a tiny bit more of space and 3 more squares in your pouch, which you can still get both by playing the game. Prepare for escape is honestly really good. And with the daily and weekly quests now too to boost that XP. EOD makes that you can progress early game faster. The significant updates it brings are the gamma container, the maxed out stash and a bit of starting reputation for traders. You can keep more items and make more money/lose less money on death.
