Now, when inserting a mag, the mag gets hung up and stops about once in every three insertion attempts. I can see that the 1981 Glock release moves a bit too far into the frame, leaving a small overhang/shelf inside on the right hand side of the mag cavity. It is a Glock OEM G17 mag that ... I took an extended Glock mag release that I had filed and sanded on out of one of my P80’s, and swapped it in my Dagger, and put the Dagger mag release in the P80. I then added a reduced mag release spring. Huge improvement. BTW the Dagger mag release complements the P80 very well IMO. It’s look fits the P80 design very well.As the Dagger’s mag release is pushed it moves a little bit until the spring wire touches the inward curved area. At this point, the leverage goes away and it takes more pressure to bend the spring wire around the circular area. Thus, producing a much harder mag release.
