Exhaust sensors 13 and 14 will show around 1100 degrees during a regen. Otherwise they go no higher than about 800 degrees, even while towing up hills.

Also, I want to make sure there is plenty of airflow during the regen. What not to do, unless you can't avoid it, is to turn it off during the regen. I know there is a way to do the manual regen - I can see doing that if you know you will go into stop and go traffic or need to turn off, so may be a planning tool but I have not done that yet.
