From the constant war-torn future of Warhammer 40,000 comes four new Commander decks, each based on a different faction from the universe. The swarming Tyranids, the machine-drones of the Necrons, the mind-breaking Chaos, and the collective Imperium of Man. Each faction brings unique strengths to Magic: the Gathering, but some decks are better ...

I bought three of the four 40k precons, planning on getting the last one to complete my collection. As I was modifying the Tyranid deck and doing some research, it seems like Animar would be a good alternative assuming, you didn't using Magus Lucea Kane instead of The Swarmlord as the commander.Every New Card. Whilst I love 40k and own all the precons, the necron deck is unquestionably better than the others. And the chaos deck is entirely dependant on your ramp as it is it extremely top heavy Reply reply

I used the 40k decks to get someone into magic and it was a rough time. Imagining someone buying the contents of a bad mass-produced $40 precon piecemeal near launch for $175 is hilarious. No, the deck isn't worth $175, it's worth $40, slightly more if for some insane reason you bought all 100 cards individually as singles. Usually, precons go by 40-45€. That is the price to buy the singles.

ABout the 40K Precons, i think are probably the top notch, mainly because they are very tight, focused themes. Unlike most Precons, this ones have a clear idea of what they want to do, and most of the new cards work to do so Now if we talk about wich one is the best, i think it shall be a tie beetwen Necrons and Tyranids. Chaos seems really ...An honorable mention, imo, is Witherbloom Witchcraft from the Strixhaven precons. Admittedly, it's not as strong as the other precons in the set, but it was the first set that got me interested in Golgari colors (not including my Kadena deck, which I mostly liked for it's Simic colors and morph focus).13 listings on TCGplayer for Universes Beyond: Warhammer 40,000 - Forces of the Imperium Commander Deck (Collector's Edition) - Magic: The Gathering - • Collector’s Edition Warhammer 40,000 Commander Deck—Forces of the Imperium (White-Blue-Black) • 100-card Surge Foil deck—including 2 Surge Foil commanders • Every card features …Yes recent precons such as the Warhammer 40k ones are quite strong comparatively but one thing with every precon is that they only win with combat damage. They also usually have some cards that don't synergize with the deck, too many lands that enter tapped, high CMC with not enough ramp to keep up and not enough card draw sources ...Phyrexia: All Will Be One is just under a month from release, and it looks incredible. The spoilers, reveals, and speculations are shaping into a set that will expertly portray the war between the inexorable Phyrexians and the desperate Mirran rebellion. As with all the other recent mainline sets, the release will include EDH precons.

My 2 cts after playing this precon vs other wh40k precons: -Mono color means lots of untapped lands, no color screw. -nice curve, nice ramp, nice mana sinks, nice removal. -commander fills the grave and provides cards. -lots of synergies (artifacts, graveyard). -deck really grinds, lots of recursion from graveysrd, so even after wipes you got ...Stats: 3/5. Unless they're willing to throw more reprint equity than they've ever thrown at any precon ever, I don't see these precons being able to meet the expectations the customers have. Out of the box a really good precon like Atraxa has a good amount of gas. You'll have a few too many lands and not enough ramp, but because you aren't a threat in the early game you likely get to survive to the late game. You are easily considered ...As with most Commander precons, the deck comes with an alternate leader, and this one happens to be one of my other favorite Rakdos legends: Kaervek the Merciless.
