If you evacuated the system then it would take less than two of the 12oz cans for the proper amount. Overfilling is not good. The hi & lo side gage readings should provide the best info on the correct amount.
The wrong charge quantity can destroy your system. For a 2012 system the reference amount is 705 to 755 grams. My reference to see if the charge is low is to measure the temperature coming out of the center drivers side vent. If it is about 18 degrees C it is full charge. That is with the outside temperature at 25C.
